The wide use of EPS as an environmentally healthy replacement for wood used in construction, will save hundreds of square miles of natural forests annually. While some logging is healthy for the environment allowing forests to replenish, the world's demand for timber has resulted in deforestation thorough out North America. Wood is no longer the logical material for building safe and eco-friendly homes.
